The Local Vicar - Episode 21
It’s freezing Blue Monday and Paul’s back on the tills at Kwik Save, a part time job he’s done for many years. Pete the manager knows he’s reliable and he has a good bedside manner with the punters, which is so important since bloody Lidi opened five minutes away. Paul needs the extra cash to buy Gaynor some new dancing shoes, so she looks ‘the business’ the next time she’s out on the lash with Pixie Lott. His first customer today is the local vicar, smiling smugly at Pauls ill fitting uniform. He knows Paul will pay for his Park Drive and beef jerky breakfast just to get rid of him. Pete’s had to chuck the vicar out a couple of times recently, for attempted shoplifting and being drunk and disorderly. They never call the police, ‘He’s just a pain in the arse when you’re trying to run a successful supermarket’ says Pete. Tracy, Pete’s wife says the same and she’s the manager of that bloody Lidi five minutes away.
